Excellence, curiosity and environmental responsibility
The 3rd Experimental General Lyceum of Chios is a public upper-secondary school on the island of Chios, offering a dynamic learning environment for more than 200 students aged 15 to 18. Its culture of responsibility, autonomy and academic excellence is supported by a daily-operating library and well-equipped laboratories for Computer Science, Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
Through research-based learning, cultural projects and community collaboration, students are encouraged to explore, question and achieve. The school’s learners regularly gain distinction in national and international competitions, including the International Physics Olympiad and the National Statistics Competition.
Environmental clubs and local initiatives bring sustainability into everyday school life. Through waste-reduction, recycling, energy-saving and biodiversity-protection activities, students connect scientific knowledge with active citizenship and develop the confidence to care for their island, their community and the future.
Each partner brings a distinct strength, from student activities to parent engagement, so every school community finds a path into sustainability.
